Coach Patrick Williams
Football is a game of excitement and as Coach I will always attempt to put a team on the field that will be exciting to the fans and also display the discipline indicative of a student.
If approached in a highly objective fashion, football, as well as other athletic endeavors, can prepare a player for the game of life. The most important ingredients in a great athlete's life are – GOD, FAMILY, ACADEMICS, & ATHLETICS. These ingredients must always be placed in that order of importance in life. If they are, the athlete will be a winner every time.
Athletes must be mindful of the vital role that academics will play in their lives. Education is kind of a miracle: through it, the blind are made to read, the deaf to understand, the dumb to speak. It brings healing to the sick and food to the hungry. Through this miracle we grow in wisdom, in understanding, in power, and so we work out our destiny and find our place in the Kingdom of God.
During my tenure, athletic achievement in football will be determined by the athlete's progress in the classroom.
I am hopeful that my coaching philosophy will serve as a constant guide to the young men who seek a higher level of achievement in academics and football. I will try and keep them ever mindful:
"IT IS NOT WHERE THEY ARE TODAY THAT COUNTS, IT IS THE DIRECTION IN WHICH THEY ARE HEADED."
