MakingIt To The NBA

Practice, practice, practice! One way that you can get better at basketball, is to go to the gym a few times a week. Also, run everyday to be in good shape! Playing with people who are better than you will make you better.

Be sure to practice shooting everywhere on the court (within reason).

Definitely do not forget to stretch! This is one of the key elements in preventing injury, but stretch after you warmup.

Play as hard as you can in every game. If you don't, chances are that you will not get any better.

Play someone that is better than you, any chance you get. This will only help you get better.

If there are any teams in your area, sign up! Practicing in the gym will help a lot, but being on a team is even better.

You need to make your high school team, so that you can get onto a college team.
(This will greatly increase your chance of being drafted into the NBA.)

Try to make every team you go out for. This is the the step that will really make you better.

Do not forget about physical strength. It is very necessary to build muscles, so you can enhance your field goal ability and stamina.

Try to maintain good shooting in high school and college- 60% average from 2 point field goal 40% from three point line and 75% from free throw line.

Be a leader and team player, both on and off the court.

Use every skill you have to your advantage on the court. Make it your own, and nobody else's.

Do not get involved with the wrong people or do drugs.
